Simplified Chinese《Nudes Without Faces》
This controversial and edgy work traces the growing complexity of self-awareness in the age of online spaces through eroticism.
Mikki and Micchi, who met on a dating site, “hack” their banal everyday world through their nude escapades, publishing these photos online one after another. Only their faces are mosaiced out. Seeking acknowledgement through the practice of extreme pornography, this unique medium-length story delves into analysis of the dimensions of modern identity from the first page with a style that penetrates human psychology. Internal and external, physical and digital data, extraordinary and ordinary, one's true self and false masks... layers upon layers of dichotomies are twisted and dissected. This work is thoroughly critical of this violence, even in its somehow wistful and melancholic brutally explicit content.
